The Virgo horoscope for 2027 turns on 26 July 2027, when Jupiter enters your sign for the first time since 2016 and opens a twelve-year cycle of personal growth. Before that, Mars turns retrograde in Virgo and asks for patience. Saturn in your eighth house, meanwhile, deepens questions of trust, commitment and what you share with others.

Jupiter in Virgo from 26 July 2027

Jupiter takes roughly twelve years to circle the zodiac, so its arrival in your own sign is a genuine milestone. It was last in Virgo from August 2015 to September 2016. From 26 July 2027 (UK time) until late August 2028, Jupiter in your first house is associated with confidence, a broader outlook and opportunities to grow in ways that feel true to you. It turns retrograde on 12 January 2028, by which point it will have travelled almost the full length of Virgo.

Before July: Jupiter in your twelfth house

For the first seven months of 2027, Jupiter is in Leo, your twelfth house of rest, retreat and behind-the-scenes work. It is retrograde until 13 April 2027. Think of this as the preparation phase: tidying loose ends, studying quietly and recovering energy before the more visible chapter begins.

Making the most of a Jupiter year

Virgos are often more comfortable improving things than celebrating them. Jupiter asks you to say yes to growth, but selectively, choosing the openings that match your values rather than every offer that arrives. A useful habit is to write down what you want this cycle to build, then check those notes when offers appear in the autumn. Jupiter tends to expand whatever you feed with attention.

Which Virgo birthdays it touches in 2027

Between late July 2027 and January 2028, Jupiter moves from 0 to about 27 degrees of Virgo. That means most Virgos, born roughly between 23 August and 20 September, receive Jupiter's conjunction with their Sun during the second half of 2027.

Mars retrograde begins in your sign

Mars has been in Virgo since 25 November 2026. It turns retrograde there on 10 January 2027, slips back into Leo on 21 February, turns direct on 1 April and returns to Virgo from 14 May to 15 July 2027. While Mars is retrograde you may feel that effort brings slower results than usual. It is a time to reorganise, revisit and refine, which happens to suit Virgo's strengths.

A penumbral lunar eclipse also falls in Virgo, at about 2 degrees of the sign, on 20 February 2027. It is a faint eclipse, yet it can serve as an emotional checkpoint, especially for Virgos born in the last days of August.

Saturn, Neptune and your eighth house

Aries is your eighth house: trust, intimacy, joint commitments and psychological depth. Saturn spends all of 2027 here, asking you to look honestly at what you share with others, from emotional bonds to practical arrangements. Neptune alongside it can bring a longing for deeper connection, or a need to see a situation more clearly before committing further. Saturn's retrograde, from 9 August to 24 December 2027, suits renegotiating anything that no longer feels fair.

The rest of the picture

Uranus in Gemini, your tenth house, keeps career paths open to sudden change and a stronger wish for independence at work. Pluto in Aquarius and the North Node in the same sign highlight your sixth house of daily routines, reinforced by the annular solar eclipse there on 6 February 2027. The South Node in Leo, your twelfth house, adds to the sense that 2027 begins with letting go before it moves into growth.

Virgo horoscope 2027 for relationships and work

Your ruler Mercury turns retrograde three times. From 9 February to 3 March 2027 it moves from Pisces, your seventh house of partnership, into Aquarius, your sixth, so conversations with partners and colleagues may need repeating. From 10 June to 4 July 2027 it runs from Cancer, your eleventh house, into Gemini, your tenth, prompting a review of career plans. From 7 to 28 October 2027 it moves from Scorpio, your third house, into Libra, your second, a good time to double-check paperwork and personal priorities.

Venus visits your sign from 20 August to 14 September 2027, just as Jupiter settles in. Mercury itself passes through Virgo from 17 August to 3 September 2027, so late summer is an especially expressive time for you.

Kanya Moon in Vedic astrology

Vedic forecasts usually read the year from the Moon sign in the sidereal zodiac; our article on Vedic and Western astrology explains the difference. For a Kanya Moon, sidereal Saturn moves into Aries, the eighth from your Moon, on 3 June 2027. This is known as Ashtama Shani, traditionally a time for patience, caution with commitments and inner work. Saturn steps back into Pisces on 20 October 2027 and returns to Aries on 23 February 2028.

Notably, both zodiacs bring Jupiter to Virgo in 2027: the tropical in July and the sidereal on 26 November 2027, after sidereal Jupiter spends late June to November in Leo, your twelfth. Rahu moves through Capricorn, your fifth, and Ketu through Cancer, your eleventh, all year.
