An astrologer in Sheffield is often wanted by two quite different people: a student in Broomhill or Crookes wondering which path to take after their degree, and a parent in Ecclesall, Sharrow or Darnall thinking about a child's future or the family's next step. Karmic Keran serves both with Vedic readings held online, over Google Meet or WhatsApp, or as a written answer.

If your question is already clear in your mind, send your question with your birth details and I will reply with the format that fits best.

If you are a student looking for an astrologer in Sheffield

Sheffield's two universities draw students from across the UK and abroad, including from India and from British Indian families in other cities. Student questions tend to cluster around a few themes: which subject or specialism to pursue, whether to stay in the UK after graduating, how to handle pressure from home, and what kind of work will actually feel meaningful.

What a Vedic chart can say about study and direction

In Vedic astrology, the 4th house relates to education and foundations, the 5th to intelligence and creativity, and the 9th to higher learning and wider horizons. The 10th describes the kind of career through which you are seen. Read together, with your Moon sign and birth nakshatra, these houses sketch your natural interests and the settings in which you tend to thrive.

What it cannot say

A chart will not tell you your exam results, and nobody honest will claim it can. It also cannot replace a conversation with your department, a careers adviser or your student support team. What it offers is perspective: a sense of which pulls are strongest in you, and when the timing looks right for a change.

My guide to career guidance through astrology for students explores these questions in more detail.

If you are a parent or family in Sheffield

Family questions are rarely about one person in isolation. A parent may want to understand a teenager's temperament before choices about A levels, a couple may be weighing a move closer to relatives, or a household may be thinking about a marriage proposal.

Reading for yourself, not for someone else

A personal reading looks at your own chart: how you respond under pressure, what this period emphasises for you, and how you might approach a difficult conversation. Reading another adult's chart properly needs their birth details and their agreement, and for a young person I would always encourage involving them rather than reading about them behind their back.

When two charts need comparing

For a proposed match or a working partnership, the Compatibility Reading sets both charts side by side, looking at strengths, challenges and communication.

Born abroad, living in South Yorkshire: getting the birth details right

Many Sheffield readers were born in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, East Africa or elsewhere, and the details need a little care.

Use the local clock time of your birthplace. I convert it for the calculation, so do not adjust it to UK time yourself.
Name the town, not just the region. Latitude and longitude affect the ascendant.
Check family records. A handwritten kundli, a hospital card or a parent's memory of "just before dawn" all help.

If the time is uncertain

The Moon's sign and most planetary positions can usually be fixed from the date. The Moon's nakshatra sometimes changes during the day, and the ascendant needs the time. I will tell you plainly which conclusions rely on an exact time and which hold either way.

Choosing a format that fits term time

Sessions are entirely online, so there is nothing to travel to across the city's hills, and timing is flexible.

The In-Depth Reading

The In-Depth Reading lasts 60 minutes, one to one, on Google Meet or WhatsApp. It is designed for long-term guidance on career, relationships and personal growth, which makes it a natural fit at turning points such as final year, a first job or a family move. We cover your ascendant and Moon sign, your current dasha, your questions in depth and the timing of the months ahead.

The General Reading

If you have one decision in front of you, such as whether to take a placement year or which offer to accept, the 30-minute General Reading gives us time to look at it properly and talk through follow-up questions, without committing a whole hour during a busy term.

A written answer during busy weeks

During exams or deadline season, a live call can feel like one thing too many. Ask Me a Question gives a written insight into one personal question, aligned with your horoscope, which you can read whenever you have a quiet moment.

Sheffield alongside Leeds and Bradford

If you have friends or family across Yorkshire, you may have seen my pages for readers in Leeds and Bradford. The Leeds page walks through a 30-minute session in detail. The method is the same everywhere: the chart is calculated from your birth details, and the reading takes place online. What differs is the emphasis, and this page leans towards the study and family transitions that a university city brings into focus.

Frequently asked questions

Do you meet clients in person in Sheffield?

No. All readings are online, on Google Meet or WhatsApp, or as a written reply.

Can my parents join a session about my career?

Yes, if you would like them there. It is your reading, so you decide who listens. Some students prefer a private session first and a family conversation afterwards.

Is a reading suitable if I am sceptical?

Yes. You are welcome to ask how each point is derived. A good reading explains its reasoning rather than asking for blind trust.

Will the reading use my Western star sign?

No. Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, so your signs may differ from those in a Western horoscope. Your Moon sign and nakshatra carry particular weight.

If you have been looking for an astrologer in Sheffield who will be honest about what a chart can and cannot show, you are welcome here. Whenever you are ready, book your In-Depth Reading or send your question through the enquiry form. Include your date, time and place of birth and a sentence about what is on your mind, whether that is a dissertation choice, a first job or a family decision, and I will suggest the next step.
