Two Full Moons in Scorpio bookend Taurus season 2027, one on its opening evening and one on its last full day, framing a month about what you value and what you hold on to. The season runs from about 8.17am BST on Tuesday 20 April, when the Sun enters Taurus, to about 7.18am BST on Friday 21 May.

If something you value feels uncertain this spring, send us your question and I will reply with insight from your own horoscope.

Taurus season 2027 dates (UK time)

The Sun moves from Aries into Taurus at about 07:17 GMT, or 08:17 BST, on 20 April 2027, and from Taurus into Gemini at about 07:18 BST on 21 May. The UK is on British Summer Time throughout, so every time in this guide is BST. Uranus is also no longer in Taurus: it moved on to Gemini in April 2026 after most of the previous eight years in the sign, so this Taurus season is likely to feel steadier and closer to the sign's traditional character.

Key dates this Taurus season

20 April: Venus, the ruler of Taurus, enters Aries in the early hours. The Sun enters Taurus that morning, and the Full Moon in Scorpio peaks at about 23:27.
6 May: New Moon in Taurus at about 11:58, at roughly 16 degrees of the sign.
14 May: Venus returns home to Taurus, and Mars moves back into Virgo, another earth sign.
20 May: the second Full Moon in Scorpio peaks at about 11:59, in the final degree of the sign.
21 May: the Sun enters Gemini early in the morning.

Jupiter has been moving forward in Leo since 13 April, and Mars has been direct since 1 April, so the season carries more momentum than the weeks before it.

Two Full Moons in Scorpio: the season's signature

A Full Moon happens when the Moon sits opposite the Sun. Because the first falls within hours of the Sun entering Taurus and the second just before it leaves, both land in Scorpio, the sign opposite Taurus. The Taurus and Scorpio axis is about mine and ours: personal security on one side, shared resources, trust and emotional depth on the other.

20 April, at 0 degrees Scorpio

The first Full Moon arrives on the season's opening evening. It tends to show what you are holding too tightly, whether a habit, an expectation of someone or a fixed idea about how things must be done.

20 May, at 29 degrees Scorpio

The second falls in the last degree of the sign, a point astrologers associate with completion. It suits finishing what the first Full Moon brought up, rather than opening new questions.

A simple practice between the two

On 20 April, write down one thing you are ready to loosen your grip on. At the New Moon on 6 May, add one thing you want to build steadily instead. On 20 May, look at both notes and see what has changed. The monthly moon wishes page has more on working with lunar phases.

Taurus season 2027, sign by sign

Aries to Cancer

Aries: the Sun moves through your house of values and self-worth, while both Full Moons fall in your house of shared commitments. Ask what you contribute and what you receive.
Taurus: happy birthday season. Venus returns to your sign on 14 May, and the Full Moons in your opposite sign show what partners need from you. Use the New Moon in your sign on 6 May to set one steady intention for the year ahead.
Gemini: a quieter month before your season, ideal for rest. The Full Moons highlight daily routines that need simplifying.
Cancer: friendships and group plans are lively, while the Full Moons light up creativity and romance, reminding you to make time for pleasure.

Leo to Scorpio

Leo: career is in the spotlight, and the Full Moons fall at the base of your chart, so balance ambition with home. Jupiter, direct in your sign, adds confidence.
Virgo: study, travel and new ideas appeal, and Mars returns to your sign on 14 May. The Full Moons stir up conversations close to home.
Libra: trust and shared arrangements come up for review, while the Full Moons fall in your house of personal values. Know your own priorities before negotiating.
Scorpio: partnerships take centre stage, and both Full Moons fall in your sign. Emotions run deep; let them inform you rather than drive you.

Sagittarius to Pisces

Sagittarius: work routines are emphasised, while the Full Moons fall in your most private house. Protect some unscheduled time.
Capricorn: creativity and romance are highlighted, and the Full Moons touch friendships and long-term hopes. One group commitment may need reconsidering.
Aquarius: home and family come first, while the Full Moons land at the top of your chart, bringing a professional question into view.
Pisces: messages, learning and local life are busy, and the Full Moons light up plans for study or travel further afield.

When Sun-sign guidance is not enough

Taurus season often raises practical questions about values, security and what deserves your time. Our article on an astrology reading for personal values shows how a session can help you think these through. In a General Reading, thirty minutes on Google Meet or WhatsApp, we can look at a personal issue or professional decision through your birth chart, including where Taurus and Scorpio fall for you. If the two Full Moons cross your second and eighth houses, for example, the month may centre on shared arrangements; if they cross your fourth and tenth, on balancing home and work.
