Sagittarius season 2027 runs from about 1.15pm GMT on Monday 22 November to the winter solstice in the early hours of Wednesday 22 December. It opens with Venus and Mars meeting at the very end of Sagittarius, peaks with a New Moon in the sign on 28 November, and ends as the year's darkest days approach. Think horizons, learning and honest optimism.

The archer's month: what Sagittarius brings

Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign ruled by Jupiter. It is linked with travel, higher learning, faith, philosophy and the search for meaning. Its season is the run-up to Christmas and the turn of the year in the UK, when people naturally look ahead and ask bigger questions about direction.

In 2027, Jupiter, the sign's ruler, is in Virgo. That gives this season an unusually practical edge: big ideas need a plan, and the most rewarding growth comes from turning a vision into something workable.

Three moments worth marking

The Venus and Mars meeting, 25 November

When Venus and Mars meet, attraction, creativity and desire are emphasised. Here they meet on the last degree of Sagittarius and immediately step into Capricorn, so a spontaneous feeling may quickly turn into a question of commitment. It suits a conversation about what you want from a relationship over the coming year.

The New Moon in Sagittarius, 28 November

This is the season's intention-setting moment. Good themes include study, travel, a qualification, a change of outlook or a spiritual practice. Write the intention in one sentence and give it a realistic first step. Our guide on how to write New Moon wishes shows how to word one so it stays useful.

The Full Moon in Gemini, 13 December

Opposite the Sagittarius Sun, the Gemini Full Moon asks you to check the big picture against the details. If you have been planning on a grand scale since late November, this is the point to look at timetables, paperwork and who needs to be told what.

A note for Vedic calendars

In the sidereal zodiac, the Sun is in Scorpio for most of these weeks and enters Sagittarius, Dhanu, in mid-December. Many North Indian families treat the month that follows as Kharmas and avoid it for weddings and other auspicious beginnings, which is worth knowing if you are planning a ceremony for winter or early 2028.

Where to aim your arrow: Sagittarius season 2027 by sign

Each note follows the house the Sun travels through in that sign's solar chart.

Aries (ninth house): a course, trip or new belief system appeals; Saturn in your sign asks you to commit to the one that matters.
Taurus (eighth house): deeper trust and shared arrangements are in focus, and Venus, your ruler, moves into your ninth house on 25 November; be clear about what you are offering.
Gemini (seventh house): partnerships take centre stage, with the Full Moon in your sign on 13 December bringing one into focus.
Cancer (sixth house): daily routines and work habits need attention before the holidays, while Venus and Mars enter your seventh house of partners on 25 November.
Leo (fifth house): creativity and romance are lively; enjoy them without over-promising.
Virgo (fourth house): home and family matter most, while Jupiter in your sign squares the Sun on 18 December. Do not take on too much.
Libra (third house): conversations and local connections flow, and Venus, your ruler, settles into your fourth house of home from 25 November; say yes to an invitation.
Scorpio (second house): your values and how you spend your time come under review, as Mars, your traditional ruler, leaves this house on 25 November.
Sagittarius (first house): your birthday season and your New Moon. Choose one direction for 2028.
Capricorn (twelfth house): rest before your own season; Venus and Mars arrive in your sign on 25 November.
Aquarius (eleventh house): friends and group plans are active, and Venus enters your sign on 19 December; one long-term hope may take shape.
Pisces (tenth house): career and reputation are highlighted; set a realistic goal for the new year.

Turning a Sagittarius question into a General Reading

This season tends to raise forward-looking questions: should I study, move abroad, change direction, or take a leap of faith? A General Reading is designed for exactly one such question, explored in thirty minutes against your Vedic birth chart. Before the session, send your date, time and place of birth, and frame your question as a choice, for example "Is next autumn or the following spring a better time to start a master's degree?" For questions about moving overseas, our article on astrology and moving abroad explains which parts of the chart are usually considered, and the Sagittarius horoscope 2027 covers the whole year.
