A janam kundli reading in Birmingham starts with one practical step: matching your question to the right kind of session. The same birth chart can speak to career, marriage, a family date or a new home, but each of those questions calls for a different reading. This guide shows how to tell which one you need before you book.

If you would like a second opinion on that choice, send your question and birth details through the enquiry form and I will point you to the session that fits.

Janam kundli reading in Birmingham: one chart, many questions

Your janam kundli is the chart cast for the date, time and place of your birth. Everything a Vedic astrologer reads grows from it: the ascendant and houses, the Moon sign and nakshatra, the dasha periods and the transits moving across it. What changes from one session to another is which part of the chart we concentrate on, and how much time the question needs.

In many households across Birmingham's South Asian communities, the kundli is a natural reference point when something important is on the table: a proposal, a new job, a house move or a ceremony. Sorting out the question first saves you booking a long reading for something simple, or a short one for something that needs room. If you have a kundli but have never had it explained, our guide to reading a janam kundli in English covers the basics.

A single, clear question

Some questions fit in a sentence: whether a course suits you, how to approach a difficult conversation at work, what to understand about a particular period. For these, Ask Me a Question gives a written insight on one personal question, aligned with your horoscope. It suits anyone who prefers to read and reflect in their own time rather than talk things through live.

Phrasing it well

A focused question gets a focused answer. "What should I keep in mind about my career over the next year?" works better than "Tell me everything", and far better than a yes-or-no demand for certainty about something that depends on other people.

Bigger questions about direction

When the question is wider, such as career direction, a recurring relationship pattern or a sense that life is changing shape, a live session is more useful. A General Reading gives thirty minutes on a personal issue or professional decision. An In-Depth Reading gives sixty minutes of long-term guidance, which leaves time to look at the tenth house for work, the seventh for partnership, your current mahadasha and its sub-period, and how those threads connect.

How the session runs

Sessions are held online over Google Meet or WhatsApp, so you can join from Handsworth, Sparkhill, Solihull or anywhere else without travelling. Have your kundli to hand if you have one; it helps to see the chart while it is being discussed.

If relatives want to listen in

You are welcome to sit together in front of one screen. Each person's chart is separate, though, so if a parent or sibling would like their own reading, it is booked as its own session.

Questions involving another person

Marriage questions in a Vedic household usually mean comparing two kundlis. A Compatibility Reading looks at both charts to explore the strengths, challenges and communication between two people, whether the relationship is romantic or a business partnership. It is a thirty-minute session and works best when you have full birth details for both people.

Asking with care

Only share another person's birth details with their knowledge. A compatibility reading describes how two charts interact; it does not pass judgement on anyone, and it cannot tell you what another person will decide.

Questions about a date or a space

Some kundli questions are really about timing a single event: a wedding, a griha pravesh, a business opening or a move. Choosing an auspicious moment is called muhurta, and Magic of Lucky Dates & Times is the session for it. Share any fixed limits at the start, such as a venue booking or the weeks when family can travel.

Questions about a property are handled differently again. Energy at Home runs for forty-five minutes and combines the home's horoscope with Vedic astrology, Vastu Shastra and Feng Shui, which can help if you are buying in Birmingham or settling into a new house. A matching session exists for offices, shops and studios.

What to send before your janam kundli reading

Your date of birth, the most accurate time you can find, and the town or city where you were born.
A photo or scan of any existing kundli, whatever language it was written in.
Your question in a sentence or two, and the session you are considering.
For a compatibility or date reading, the other person's details or the dates you are choosing between.

If the birth time is uncertain, say so. I will be open about what depends on it rather than reading more into the chart than the details allow.

Frequently asked questions

Which session should I choose for a first janam kundli reading?

If you have one focused question, Ask Me a Question is a gentle start. If you want to understand your chart broadly, the In-Depth Reading gives the most room.

Can you work from a kundli I already have?

Yes. Send a copy with your birth details. The chart can be recalculated from those details and checked against the original, so the language it was written in is not a barrier.

Is a kundli reading the same as kundli matching?

Not quite. A janam kundli reading looks at one person's chart. Matching compares two, which is the work of the Compatibility Reading.

Will the reading tell me what is going to happen?

No. It offers guidance and reflection on themes and timing, not fixed outcomes. The choices remain yours.

Once you know which question you are bringing, send it with your birth details and I will confirm the right session and arrange a time for your janam kundli reading online. Still unsure which one fits? Say so in your message and we can decide together.
