Looking for an astrologer in Reading, the Berkshire town rather than a type of session? Karmic Keran offers one-to-one Vedic readings online, over Google Meet or WhatsApp, so you can speak to an Indian astrologer from Caversham, Earley, Tilehurst or Woodley without travelling. This page focuses on career questions, which suit Vedic timing particularly well.

If a work decision is pressing, send your question now with your birth details and a line about the choice you face. I will reply with the session that suits it.

Searching for an astrologer in Reading: the town, not the session

The name causes a small but real problem. Type "astrologer in Reading" into a search engine and you will find pages about readings of every kind, from tarot to birth charts, with very few about the town itself. If you live in Berkshire and want a Vedic astrologer, the practical answer is that location barely matters. Your chart is calculated from your date, time and place of birth, and the conversation works just as well on a video call as across a table.

What does matter is method. Vedic astrology, or Jyotish, uses the sidereal zodiac, the birth nakshatra and a system of planetary periods called dashas. Those tools are especially useful for timing questions, which is exactly what most career dilemmas are. An astrologer who works this way should explain each observation by pointing to the placement behind it.

Career questions Thames Valley professionals bring

The M4 corridor and the Elizabeth line make Reading a home for people whose work spans offices, client sites and long commutes. The questions that arise from that kind of working life are rarely simple yes-or-no choices.

Stay, or move on?

You may be comfortable but restless, or unhappy but cautious about leaving. A reading looks at whether your current dasha emphasises stability or change, and at which months may suit a move better than others.

Leading people, or deepening expertise?

Some charts show strong leadership themes; others suggest fulfilment through specialist mastery. Knowing which pull is stronger in your chart can make a promotion conversation clearer.

Going independent

Contracting, consulting or starting something of your own raises questions of temperament and timing. A chart can describe how you handle uncertainty and when a period of initiative looks well supported. It cannot replace advice from an accountant or solicitor, and it will not predict financial results.

Returning after a break

Coming back to work after parental leave, caring for a relative or a period of study brings its own questions about confidence, direction and pace. A reading can help you see which strengths are emphasised now and whether the coming months favour a gradual return or a fresh start in a new field.

Relocating with the job

An offer in London, abroad or elsewhere in the country touches home and family as well as career. The 4th house of home and the 12th house of distant places sit alongside the 10th in these questions, and the reading looks at all three together.

Which parts of a Vedic chart speak to work

When I read a chart for career, a few areas carry most of the weight.

The 10th house and its ruler

The 10th house describes public role, reputation and the kind of work through which you are seen. Its sign, any planets inside it and the condition of its ruler sketch the shape of a fulfilling career.

The 6th and 2nd houses

The 6th house covers daily work, routines and colleagues, while the 2nd relates to skills you build up and what you value. Together they show the texture of working life, not just the title on the door.

Your dasha periods

Dashas divide life into chapters ruled by different planets. A Saturn period tends to favour patient building; a Mercury period suits learning, analysis and communication; a Sun period can bring questions of authority and visibility.

Why timing usually matters more than a yes or no

Very few career questions have a single right answer. The more useful question is often "when?", and the dasha and major transits, particularly Saturn and Jupiter, help to answer it. My guide to career astrology for work decisions explores this further, and your birth nakshatra and career path adds another layer.

Fitting a 60-minute session into a commuter week

The In-Depth Reading is a 60-minute, one-to-one session over Google Meet or WhatsApp, designed for long-term guidance on career, relationships and personal growth. For a Reading-based professional, it can be held on a working-from-home day, in the evening once the commute is done, or at the weekend.

How the hour is used

A short tour of your chart: ascendant, Moon sign and the planets that stand out.
Your career houses and their rulers, read in the context of your whole chart.
Your current dasha and antardasha, and what they emphasise.
Timing for the next one to two years, focused on the decisions you have in mind.

What to prepare

Your birth date, the most accurate time you can find and the town of birth.
A one-paragraph summary of the decision, including any deadlines.
A sense of what a good outcome would look like for you, beyond salary or title.
Notes from any earlier reading, so we can build on it rather than repeat it.

Frequently asked questions

Do you hold sessions in person in Reading?

No. All readings are online, which makes them easy to fit around office days and commutes anywhere in Berkshire.

Can astrology tell me whether to accept a job offer?

It can show which themes are active, how the role fits your chart and whether the timing looks supportive. The decision, and the weighing of practical factors, remains yours.

Is a shorter session enough for one career question?

Often, yes. The 30-minute General Reading suits a single professional decision, while the In-Depth Reading suits several linked questions.

I was born in India. Does that change anything?

Only the calculation. Give the town and the local time of birth, and the chart is cast for that place.

When you are ready to look at your working life through your own chart, book an In-Depth Reading or send your question through the enquiry form. Mention the decision and any timeframe, and I will help you choose the session that fits.
