A feng shui consultant in London has to read homes that rarely match the textbook: long Victorian hallways, flats carved out of townhouses, glass-walled towers by the river. Karmic Keran works with London households online, pairing feng shui with your home's horoscope, your Vedic birth chart and Vastu Shastra, so the suggestions suit both the building and the people in it.

If one room already feels wrong and you would like a view on it, send your question through the enquiry form and mention that you live in London and what type of property you have.

Why London homes need a different feng shui eye

Classical feng shui guidance often assumes a standalone house with a clear front, back and garden. London housing seldom works that way. A single postcode can hold a terrace from the 1890s, a 1930s mansion block and a new apartment building finished last year, and each one channels movement, light and air differently.

Victorian and Edwardian terraces

The classic London terrace has a narrow front door opening onto a corridor that runs straight past the front room towards the kitchen and the garden door. In feng shui terms, energy (chi) entering the front door can race through the house without settling. The usual response is gentle rather than dramatic: a runner or rug to slow the eye, a console or plant partway along, softer lighting, and attention to what greets you first when you step inside.

Mansion blocks and conversion flats

In a flat there are two "mouths of chi": the communal entrance you share with neighbours and the front door of your own home. You cannot rearrange the shared hallway, so the session treats your own door and the first few metres inside it as the true entrance.

New-build apartments

Open-plan layouts in places such as Stratford, Nine Elms or Canary Wharf can feel bright yet unanchored. Sofas float in the middle of the room, the kitchen island faces the door, and the bedroom opens straight off the living space. Here the work is about creating supported positions for the sofa, bed and desk, and balancing hard, reflective surfaces with texture and warmth.

What an online session with a feng shui consultant for London homes covers

Home readings run through the Energy at Home / New Home session, a 45-minute consultation held on Google Meet or WhatsApp. It brings together your home's horoscope, Vedic astrology for the household, Vastu Shastra and feng shui rather than treating any of them on its own.

Before the session

A floor plan. An estate agent's plan or a neat hand sketch is enough.
The direction your front door faces, taken with a phone compass while standing just inside the door.
Photos or a short video walk-through of each room.
Birth details for the people living there, if they are happy to share them.
A short note on what you would like to change: a restless bedroom, a cramped home office, a living room nobody uses.

During the 45 minutes

The bagua is laid over your plan, rooms are matched to their areas, and the balance of the five elements is checked room by room. Furniture is looked at through the commanding position, so you can see the door from the bed, desk and sofa without being directly in line with it. Your home's horoscope and the household's charts then show which areas deserve attention first.

How feng shui and Vastu are weighed together

Both traditions use direction, but they do not always assign the same meaning to the same corner. Where they agree, the advice is straightforward. Where they differ, the session favours what is practical in your home and explains the reasoning, which is covered in more depth in our guide to using Vastu and feng shui together. If Vastu is your main interest, our guide for a Vastu consultant in London looks at the same housing types from that side.

After the session

You leave with a short, prioritised list. The first items are usually changes that need no tradesperson at all: moving a bed, clearing an entrance, changing a lamp, rethinking how a room is used.

Feng shui for London renters and leaseholders

Many Londoners rent, or own a leasehold flat with rules about alterations. That does not rule out feng shui. Most useful changes are reversible, and a good consultant works within your tenancy or lease rather than suggesting building work.

Changes that respect a tenancy

Repositioning furniture so the bed and desk have a solid wall behind them.
Using rugs, throws and cushions to introduce element colours instead of repainting.
Plants and lighting to lift a dark corner or a north-facing room.
Mirrors placed with care, never facing the bed or reflecting the front door straight back out.
Clearing the first view from the entrance, which in small flats often doubles as storage.

Choosing a feng shui consultant in London: questions worth asking

Whoever you speak to, a few questions quickly show how they work. Do they ask for a plan and a compass direction, or only a handful of photos? Will they explain why a change is suggested, not just what to do? Do they expect you to buy statues, crystals or charms? And do they talk in terms of promised wealth or health? If so, it is reasonable to walk away. Feng shui is a way of arranging and reflecting on a space, not a promise of particular results. Our guide to choosing a feng shui consultant in the UK goes through these questions in more detail.

Online or in person?

An in-person visit means a consultant takes the compass reading and walks the rooms themselves, which some people prefer. An online session avoids travel across London and lets you show the space at the time of day it bothers you most. Sessions with Karmic Keran are held online, and the session guides you through each step so nothing important is missed.

Moments when London households tend to get in touch

You have just collected the keys and want to set the home up well from the first day. Our checklist for before you move in is a useful starting point.
A spare room has become a home office and work now spills into rest.
One room is consistently avoided, cluttered or tense, and you cannot say why.

Frequently asked questions

Do you visit London homes in person?

Sessions are held online through Google Meet or WhatsApp. You walk the camera through the rooms, share your plan and compass direction, and the reading is built around what you show.

Can feng shui help a dark, north-facing London flat?

It can help the flat feel more balanced and lived-in. Lighting, warmer textures, plants and furniture placement are usually the first tools, and none of them requires redecorating.

Is a consultation worthwhile if I am only renting?

Yes. Almost every suggestion can be undone when you move, and the session focuses on what your tenancy allows.

Do I need everyone's birth time?

Birth details add depth because they link the space to the people in it, but the home can still be read from its plan and direction if some details are missing.

When you are ready, send us a short note about your London home with the property type and what you would like to change. We will reply with how the session would work for your space and help you arrange a time that suits the household.
