The Capricorn horoscope for 2027 is about foundations. Your ruling planet Saturn spends the whole year in Aries, your fourth house of home, family and roots, asking you to strengthen the base everything else stands on. Jupiter deepens trust and shared commitments until 26 July 2027, then opens wider horizons through study and travel.

Your ruler at the base of your chart

When the planet that rules your sign occupies your fourth house, private life becomes the project. Saturn has been in Aries since 14 February 2026 and remains there through 2027, turning retrograde on 9 August and direct on 24 December 2027 (UK time). Typical themes include responsibilities towards family, decisions about property or living arrangements, and a quieter wish to feel truly settled.

Aries squares Capricorn, so ambition and home life may compete for your time. In 2027 Saturn moves across roughly 8 to 28 degrees of Aries, which makes the square exact for Capricorns born between about 29 December and 18 January. Neptune in the same house adds a longing for belonging and can soften rigid ideas about what home should look like.

Saturn's retrograde from 9 August 2027 is a useful moment to look back at what has changed at home since early 2026 and decide what still needs finishing before Saturn leaves Aries on 13 April 2028.

Home projects and moves

Saturn favours renovation, repair and long-term planning over rushed change. If you are buying, renting or reorganising a home this year, an Energy at Home reading combines your home's horoscope with Vedic astrology, Vastu Shastra and Feng Shui in a 45-minute session.

Choosing a moving date

For many families a move is also a ceremony. Our guide to finding an auspicious date for moving house in the UK explains how such a date is chosen around real-world constraints.

Jupiter moves from your eighth house to your ninth

Jupiter starts 2027 retrograde in Leo, your eighth house of trust, intimacy and joint commitments, turning direct on 13 April 2027. This half of the year suits deepening close bonds and sorting out shared arrangements with care and honesty. Mars retrogrades from Virgo, your ninth house, back into Leo, your eighth, between 10 January and 1 April 2027, so plans involving travel, study or other people's agreements may need patience.

On 26 July 2027 Jupiter enters Virgo, your ninth house of higher learning, long journeys and belief, where it stays until 24 August 2028. Venus joins it there from 20 August to 14 September 2027. Courses, travel and broader perspectives become more appealing, and fellow earth sign Virgo makes this a comfortable placement for you.

Eclipses on your values axis

The lunar nodes run through Aquarius and Leo all year, your second and eighth houses. Pluto, too, continues its long passage through Aquarius, gradually reshaping what you value and how you define security. Three of the year's five eclipses fall on that axis; the other two touch your ninth house and your own sign:

6 February 2027: annular solar eclipse in Aquarius, your second house, a new beginning in how you value your skills and time.
20 February 2027: a faint penumbral lunar eclipse in Virgo, your ninth house of study and travel, where Jupiter arrives in July.
18 July 2027: a penumbral lunar eclipse at 26 degrees of Capricorn, a personal checkpoint, closest to birthdays around 16 January.
2 August 2027: total solar eclipse in Leo, your eighth house, highlighting trust and what you share.
17 August 2027: penumbral lunar eclipse in Aquarius, returning to your second house.

These themes describe choices about worth and priorities. They are not forecasts of financial gain or loss, and a reading is never financial advice.

Capricorn horoscope 2027: relationships and work rhythm

Mercury's retrogrades shape the working year. From 9 February to 3 March 2027 it moves from your third house into your second, so paperwork and personal plans deserve a careful second look. From 10 June to 4 July 2027 it runs from Cancer, your seventh house of partnership, into Gemini, your sixth house of daily work. From 7 to 28 October 2027 it moves from your eleventh house into your tenth, prompting a review of career goals. Uranus spends the year in your sixth house, encouraging new ways of working.

Your own sign comes alive towards the end of the year. Venus visits Capricorn from 3 February to 1 March and again from 25 November to 19 December 2027. Mars enters on 25 November 2027 and the Sun on 22 December 2027, opening your birthday season. For the season that opens 2027, see our Capricorn season 2026 to 2027 predictions.

Makara Moon: Rahu in your sign and Saturn's move

Your Vedic Moon sign, or rashi, can differ from your Western Sun sign, so this section applies if your Moon is in Makara. For a Makara Moon, Rahu travels through Capricorn, your own sign, throughout 2027, with Ketu opposite in Cancer, your seventh. Rahu over the Moon is often linked with ambition, restlessness and a wish to reinvent yourself, balanced by Ketu's call for detachment in partnerships.

Sidereal Saturn moves from Pisces, your third and traditionally a favourable position, into Aries, your fourth, on 3 June 2027. This is known as Kantaka or Ardhashtama Shani, and it again places Saturn in your fourth house, so both zodiacs point to home and inner security this year. Saturn steps back into Pisces on 20 October 2027 and returns to Aries on 23 February 2028. Sidereal Jupiter re-enters Leo, your eighth, on 26 June 2027 and Virgo, your ninth, on 26 November 2027.
