In the Cancer horoscope for 2027, Saturn's journey through your tenth house makes career and public responsibility the year's long project. Jupiter shifts from your second house to your third on 26 July 2027, Mercury's June retrograde begins in your sign, and three lunar eclipses stir the Moon, your ruling planet.

Saturn at the top of your chart

Counted from Cancer, Aries is your tenth house: career, reputation, ambition and the role you play in public. Saturn has been there since 14 February 2026 and remains all through 2027, so the year rewards patient work on your professional standing. Responsibilities may grow, and so may the respect that comes with carrying them well. Saturn is not a planet of shortcuts: qualifications, steady delivery and clear boundaries with colleagues all count for more than visibility alone.

Balancing work and home

Aries sits at a right angle to Cancer, which astrologers call a square. In practice that often feels like a pull between duties at work and needs at home. Saturn moves across roughly 8 to 28 degrees of Aries in 2027, so if you were born between about 29 June and 20 July, the square to your Sun is exact this year and the balancing act may feel especially real.

Neptune's softer influence

Neptune also travels through your tenth house, which can blur the outline of a career path or invite a more meaningful, service-minded direction. Saturn's retrograde, from 9 August to 24 December 2027 (UK time), offers a natural pause to check that ambition and values still point the same way.

Five turning points in your Cancer horoscope 2027

6 to 20 February 2027: an eclipse pair

The year opens with two eclipses a fortnight apart. The annular solar eclipse of 6 February 2027 falls in Aquarius, your eighth house of trust, intimacy and joint commitments. The penumbral lunar eclipse of 20 February 2027 follows in Virgo, your third house of conversation and learning. Mercury is retrograde over the same weeks, from 9 February to 3 March 2027, moving from your ninth house into your eighth, so shared arrangements deserve careful discussion.

10 June to 4 July 2027: Mercury retrograde in your sign

Mercury turns retrograde at 6 degrees of Cancer, then slips back into Gemini, your twelfth house, on 26 June 2027. Because the Sun enters Cancer on 21 June 2027, this retrograde coincides with the start of your birthday season and suits reflection more than launches. Venus brings warmth to your sign afterwards, from 3 to 27 July 2027.

If you were born in the last ten days of June

Mercury's retrograde passes back over the first six degrees of Cancer, so Cancerians born between about 21 and 28 June may feel this review period most personally.

18 July 2027: a lunar eclipse in Capricorn

This penumbral eclipse at 26 degrees of Capricorn falls in your seventh house of partnership. Faint as it is in the sky, it can act as a checkpoint for a key relationship.

26 July and 2 August 2027: Jupiter moves on and the Sun is eclipsed

Jupiter leaves Leo, your second house of values and resources, for Virgo, your third house of learning, writing and local life. A week later, the total solar eclipse in Leo touches your second house, often read as a reset of priorities and self-worth. This is reflection, not a financial forecast.

17 August 2027: the final lunar eclipse

The last eclipse of the year, in Aquarius, returns to your eighth house and the questions of trust raised in February.

Love and close relationships

Partnerships come into focus around the July eclipse in Capricorn, and the October Mercury retrograde, from 7 to 28 October 2027, runs from Scorpio, your fifth house of romance, back into Libra, your fourth house of home. Old romantic questions and family conversations may resurface together. Mars passes through Scorpio from 2 September to 16 October 2027, adding energy and passion to your romantic life as autumn begins.

With the North Node in Aquarius, your eighth house, all year, close bonds tend to grow through openness rather than self-protection. For a sign that guards its feelings carefully, the invitation is to let trusted people see more of you, and to notice who responds with the same honesty.

The Vedic view for a Karka Moon

Many Indian yearly horoscopes read from the Moon sign in the sidereal zodiac. If your Moon is in Karka, sidereal Jupiter steps back into Cancer in late January 2027 and stays until 26 June 2027. Classical transit rules count Jupiter over the Moon sign among its less comfortable positions, a time for reassessment, although Jupiter is exalted in Cancer and that dignity is usually read as softening it. It then moves into Leo, your second, traditionally one of its more welcome positions from the Moon, and on 26 November 2027 into Virgo, your third.

Sidereal Saturn moves from Pisces, your ninth, into Aries, your tenth, on 3 June 2027, so both zodiacs agree that career and duty are central this year. It returns to Pisces on 20 October 2027. Ketu travels through Cancer and Rahu through Capricorn all year, placing the nodal axis across self and partnership; our guide to the Rahu and Ketu axis explains what that means.

Frequently asked questions

Is 2027 a good year for a Cancer career change?

Saturn in your tenth house favours careful, well-prepared moves over sudden ones. Whether a change suits you depends on your full chart, which a personal reading can examine.

What does Mercury retrograde in Cancer mean?

From 10 June 2027, Mercury retrogrades from your sign into Gemini, a period suited to reviewing personal plans, finishing old tasks and clarifying misunderstandings.

Why do eclipses matter so much to Cancer?

The Moon rules Cancer, and every eclipse involves the Moon, so eclipse seasons are traditionally treated as emotional turning points for your sign. In 2027 there are three lunar eclipses and two solar.
