Your Aquarius horoscope for 2027 revolves around one axis: you and the people you stand beside. A solar eclipse in your sign on 6 February resets your personal direction, Jupiter spends seven months in Leo, your partnership sector, and Saturn, your traditional ruler, asks for carefully chosen words all year.

If one part of the year already feels important, send us your question with your birth date, time and place, and I will reply with insight drawn from your own chart.

The eclipse axis behind your Aquarius horoscope for 2027

Sun-sign forecasts treat Aquarius as your first house and count round the zodiac from there. The North Node spends all of 2027 in Aquarius, with the South Node opposite in Leo, so the year's eclipses keep returning to one question: who are you on your own, and who are you alongside another person? Two of the year's five eclipses fall in your sign and one in your opposite sign.

6 February: a personal new year

Your birthday season begins when the Sun enters Aquarius on 20 January 2027, and the annular solar eclipse at 17 degrees Aquarius on 6 February makes it feel like a fresh start. Eclipses tend to reveal endings and beginnings rather than invent them, so notice what already feels complete, whether a role, a habit or an image of yourself you have outgrown. The eclipse is not visible from the UK, but symbolically it lands squarely on you, especially if your birthday falls in early February.

2 and 17 August: the other side of the axis

The total solar eclipse of 2 August falls in Leo, your seventh house of committed relationships, and the penumbral lunar eclipse of 17 August returns to your own sign. Between the two, Saturn stations retrograde on 9 August. This is the most concentrated fortnight of your year.

Making good use of August

Rather than forcing decisions in eclipse weeks, observe which relationships feel like an equal exchange and which have drifted into habit. Clarity usually arrives in the weeks that follow.

Saturn in your third house, Uranus in your fifth

Saturn in Aries: say less, mean more

Saturn, the classical ruler of Aquarius, spends all of 2027 in Aries, the sign of your solar third house. This area covers communication, study, siblings, neighbours and the short journeys that fill an ordinary week. Saturn here rewards a skill learned properly, a course finished rather than started, and words chosen with care. It also asks whether the way you speak to people close to home matches the ideals you champion in public. Saturn is retrograde from 9 August to 24 December, a natural window to revise something you wrote, taught or promised earlier in the year.

Uranus in Gemini: room to experiment

Your modern ruler, Uranus, turns direct on 8 February and continues through Gemini, your solar fifth house. Tastes in creativity, play and romance keep shifting. A hobby that suddenly absorbs you, a fresh approach to dating or a creative project that breaks your usual rules are typical expressions of this long transit. Let experiments stay experiments until they prove themselves.

Jupiter's year in your partnership houses

Jupiter begins 2027 retrograde in Leo, your opposite sign, and turns direct on 13 April. Until 26 July it expands your seventh house: committed relationships, business partners, clients and agreements. Conversations that stalled over the winter often regain momentum once it moves forward again. Mars adds to the early-year review, retrograde from 10 January to 1 April and back in Leo from 21 February, so a close relationship may feel slower or more contested before it settles.

On 26 July Jupiter enters Virgo, your eighth house of trust, intimacy and what you hold in common with others. Here it highlights joint arrangements and how fairly responsibilities are divided. Treat this as a theme for reflection rather than a forecast of any financial result. In love, there is no Venus retrograde this year, so the long relationship reviews of autumn 2026 are behind you.

Aquarius in 2027: dates to circle

20 January: the Sun enters Aquarius and your birthday season begins.
6 February: annular solar eclipse in your sign.
9 February to 3 March: Mercury retrograde, starting in Pisces, your house of personal values, and slipping back into Aquarius on 18 February. Revise plans before announcing them.
10 June to 4 July: Mercury retrograde from Cancer back into Gemini, touching daily work and creativity. Return to an unfinished idea before starting another.
26 July: Jupiter enters Virgo.
2 to 17 August: your eclipse fortnight, with Saturn turning retrograde on 9 August.
7 to 28 October: Mercury retrograde from Scorpio, at the top of your solar chart, back into Libra, your house of study and travel. Career conversations may need a second round.
24 December: Saturn turns direct, leaving you clearer about what to keep building in 2028.

Kumbha Moon: the Vedic view of your 2027

Everything above uses the tropical zodiac, as most Sun-sign horoscopes do. Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, roughly 24 degrees behind, so if you were born between 20 January and about 12 February, your Sun sits in Capricorn in a Vedic chart. Vedic practice also gives the Moon sign, or rashi, more weight than the Sun. If your Moon is in Aquarius (Kumbha), you are in the final phase of Sade Sati while Saturn is in sidereal Pisces. Saturn enters sidereal Aries on 3 June 2027, returns to Pisces on 20 October and settles in Aries in February 2028, so the chapter closes in stages rather than on one date. Our calm guide to Sade Sati explains each phase.

Frequently asked questions

When is the eclipse in Aquarius in 2027?

The annular solar eclipse falls on 6 February 2027, and a penumbral lunar eclipse in Aquarius follows on 17 August 2027.

Does Sade Sati end for an Aquarius Moon in 2027?

It begins to. Saturn leaves sidereal Pisces on 3 June 2027, returns between 20 October 2027 and February 2028, then moves on, closing the final phase for a Kumbha Moon.

Which matters more for Aquarius in 2027, Saturn or Uranus?

Both. Saturn, the traditional ruler, shapes how you communicate and learn this year; Uranus, the modern ruler, keeps creativity and romance changeable.

Should I read my Sun sign or my rising sign?

Read both. Your rising sign often shows more precisely which areas of life the year's transits touch, and a personal reading uses both together.
