Your 2027 love horoscope is a steadier one than usual. There is no Venus retrograde at all, Venus spends late spring and early autumn in its own signs, and Jupiter moves from romantic Leo into devoted Virgo on 26 July. The real test comes from Saturn in Aries, which asks every relationship what it is truly built on.

A year without a Venus retrograde

Venus, the planet of love, affection and what we value in others, was retrograde from 3 October to mid-November 2026, moving from Scorpio back into Libra. Its next retrograde begins in May 2028. Throughout 2027, Venus moves forward, which astrologers generally regard as steadier ground for new commitments, engagements and choosing dates for celebrations. If last autumn brought an old question back, our guide to Venus retrograde 2026 explains what that cycle tends to stir up.

Venus dates to note in 2027

26 March to 20 April: Venus in Pisces, its sign of exaltation, favouring tenderness, forgiveness and romance.
14 May to 8 June: Venus in Taurus, one of its home signs, favouring loyalty, comfort and physical affection.
26 August: Venus meets Jupiter in Virgo, a warm moment for practical gestures of care.
14 September to early October: Venus in Libra, its other home sign, favouring fairness, harmony and partnership.

Mars, Jupiter and Saturn in your 2027 love horoscope

Mars retrograde, 10 January to 1 April

Mars governs desire, pursuit and conflict. Its retrograde runs from Virgo back into Leo, so passion may feel muted or old frictions may return. This is a better season for repairing than for starting. Later, Mars moves through Libra, the sign of partnership, from 15 July to early September, putting energy into relationships and into negotiating fairly.

Jupiter from Leo to Virgo

While Jupiter is in Leo, romance favours courtship, celebration and play. From 26 July, Jupiter in Virgo shifts the emphasis to devotion shown through everyday care: remembering what matters to someone, sharing the load and keeping promises.

Saturn in Aries, opposite Libra

Saturn spends all of 2027 in Aries, opposite the natural sign of marriage. The tension is between independence and togetherness. Relationships that leave room for both people to grow tend to strengthen, while those that rely on one person shrinking may feel the strain. Saturn turns retrograde on 9 August, a natural time to revisit agreements.

The Leo and Aquarius eclipses

With the North Node in Aquarius, the year's main eclipses fall on the Leo and Aquarius axis of heart and friendship: a solar eclipse in Aquarius on 6 February, a total solar eclipse in Leo on 2 August and a lunar eclipse in Aquarius on 17 August. Around those dates, avoid hurried relationship decisions; clarity usually arrives in the weeks that follow.

Reading 2027 by relationship stage

If you are single

Until late July, Jupiter in Leo rewards putting yourself forward socially and creatively. After that, connections are more likely to grow through work, shared routines or causes you care about. The Venus seasons in Taurus and Libra are traditionally sociable. Notice who makes you feel calmer rather than simply more excited; under Saturn, steadiness is a better guide than sparks.

If you are dating

Mercury turns retrograde three times: 9 February to 3 March, 10 June to 4 July and 7 to 28 October. Misunderstandings are more common then, so check in rather than assume. The June cycle begins in Cancer, a sign concerned with emotional security, and the October cycle begins in Scorpio, a sign concerned with trust, so those are natural moments to talk about what each of you needs.

If you are in a long-term relationship

Saturn asks couples to renew their agreements, spoken and unspoken. Jupiter in Virgo rewards small, consistent kindness. A simple exercise in spring, once Mars is direct again: each of you names one thing the relationship does well and one thing you would like to share more fairly.

Planning an engagement or wedding

With no Venus retrograde, 2027 avoids one stretch that Western astrologers usually steer weddings away from. Vedic muhurta adds its own checks, such as whether Venus or Jupiter sits too close to the Sun, so the right date still depends on both charts and the tradition your family follows. Our article on the best day to get married in 2027 explains how a date is chosen, and Magic of Lucky Dates & Times looks for an auspicious muhurta for your own ceremony.

If you are rebuilding after a break-up

Saturn favours honest self-review over quick replacements. Venus in Pisces, from 26 March to 20 April, suits forgiveness, including forgiveness of yourself. Astrology cannot tell you whether a particular person will return, but it can help you see the patterns you would rather not repeat.

Signs with the strongest relationship focus

Libra: Saturn in your opposite sign makes partnership the central lesson of the year.
Leo and Aquarius: the eclipses fall on your axis, and Jupiter spends seven months in Leo.
Pisces: Jupiter enters your opposite sign on 26 July, bringing partners into focus.
Virgo: Venus and Jupiter meet in your sign on 26 August.
Taurus: Venus returns to your sign from mid-May to early June.

Why two charts say more than one

A Sun-sign love forecast describes the weather; it cannot describe the two people standing in it. Comparing charts shows where you naturally understand each other, where you clash and how you communicate under pressure. A Compatibility Reading is a thirty-minute online session, on Google Meet or WhatsApp, looking at the strengths, challenges and communication patterns in a love or business relationship. Bring both sets of birth details and one or two real situations you would like to understand. To see how the comparison works, read our guide to synastry readings online.
